How to Claim a Lottery Sambad Prize
- Keep your original winning ticket safe, unsigned and unmarked.
- Match your full ticket number against the official result for the correct draw and date.
- Submit the ticket with a completed claim form and the required documents within 30 days of the draw date.
Documents usually required for larger prizes
- Original winning ticket (signed on the back as instructed)
- Completed prize claim form
- PAN card and Aadhaar card (identity proof)
- Bank account details for the prize transfer
- A few passport-size photographs
Tax on winnings
In India, lottery winnings above ₹10,000 attract a flat 30% TDS (plus applicable surcharge and cess) under Section 194B, deducted before the prize is paid. Keep photocopies of your ticket and documents for your own records.
